I’ll be honest and say I’ve never had direct experience of any of those brake components and still say I’d choose telepathy over those levers as control mechanisms!

Dropper post levers definitely weren't designed to carry the full force of an emergency stop
(or have the correct cable pull)
Liability?
Maybe there isn't any in a private sale, but I wouldn't want to bet on it.

And isn't that a £400 derailleur doing the job (badly) of a £15 chain tensioner?
