finally got started on stripping the paint. One more evening should do it. Might prep some rockshox Judy's aswell. Tbh it was ace fettling in the workshop again.

Quick update and question time

Frame and fork have been stripped and have been sitting in primer for awhile now. Due to being off work I will have some time to potentially start and finish the paint job ready for the york festival and malverns. It "should" be delivered tomorrow said the paint supplier so fingers crossed the weather stays nice.

Question time, I have some rockshox judy xc that fit perfectly bit are in the ever so hideous shade of cream. Would it be acceptable to fit the same era forks on the frame as well as the stem? Paintwork will match throughout.

Hmmm.......I'd colour match the forks and swap out the stem. Suspension forks and Suspension stem is a bit like having bar ends on riser bars

Im a wee bit on the keep the fork and go down the suspension stem route but I have seen the alu with a std rigid fork and always thought it looked a bit .... weedy,

As long as the rockshox is colour coded I think it will good young man
