Alloy head tube repair or bin it?

I picked up a specialized hotrock for my 11 yo daughter which was looking like a good project, fortunately, it didn't cost me a lot.
After getting it home and cleaning it, I noticed under the mud, a crack on the head tube. The frame is alloy.

My opinion is that it is not worth repairing as it will cost over £50 and it looks like the crack is around 0.5mm-1mm and runs up to the weld :|

Is it too far gone to be economically and safely repaired?

I will probably bin the frame for safety sake but just thought I would get opinions from others who have experienced something similar.

Here are some pics.

On a cheap frame like that I'd bin it.

Sadly, I'm inclined to agree with this. The cost of fixing this correctly (sleeving and welding at the very least) would probably be more than the value of the frame, especially if a repaint is added onto the cost.

There's plenty of similar about that would do the job, it's probably worth a wanted ad on here as well :)

Thanks guys. Just as I thought, I will bin this one, but good to get opinions for the sake of my conscious. 8)

You can get a full bike for not much more and with peace of mind too.
