so much pre '93 stuff still about, I slung this together to see what happened.

The frame is one of those 'bankrupt stock' jobbies - possible Tange tubed with XT and DX parts, new seatpost, new Switchblades, new DX cranks.

Still a few jobs to do but, at least this lets me know whats out there still.

Built all in for about £180 - justs needs tyres and a few odds n sods to make perfect.

The best find was the wheels - DX/ Ritchey Vantage from my local tip FOC!

I do like the look of that but can't help thinking that if you used a frame from '93 it would be awesome!

Hmmm... funny you should mention that - '93 Zaskar frame anyone? (just waiting for parts to arrive)

I really fancy a Zaskar as a knocking about machine - can't seem to find a decent cheap frame anywhere.

I love those switchblades, in fact the whole bike looks lean and mean.

frame make

looking at the frame cable stops, colour and other details looks exactly like my '97 Saracen Tufftrax ,which is Tange with butted maintubes.

You have done a great job, looks well cool.
