So after many hours of trying to remove the saddle post from my newly acquired 1990 Raleigh Record Ace Moderne I had to admit defeat.
The frame was a bit rough anyway so I decided to strip the entire Sante Groupset from the frame and find another frame to build something nice.
Having sourced a 1991/2 Dynatech 605 frame for a very decent price on Friday evening I built the bike up on Saturday morning before taking her for a 20 mile country lane spin.
She rides beautifully :0)
