Hi there, really hoping someone can help me with some info on the latest bike in my collection.
I've just got an Alan Richards 531c road bike with shimano 105 throughout, gipiemme dropouts, shimano fluted seatpost and oddly, Raleigh bars.
I know that Richards ran the old Tower Cycles in Birmingham, And most of his frames had a TC serial number,
Mine seems a little different, with a serial number starting with F7C or 0
Can anyone help with this - I know he made some frames himself, got companies to make them or repurposed old frames for builds too...
Below are a couple of pics, there is also a random 8 stamped on the Bb shell where the chain stay goes in.
