Don't know anything about the frame other than Alain Kaye was a pro in the 70s? I don't know if he later built frames or his name was just used. The frame has some nice features like the triangular reinforcements on the inside top of the fork blade/fork crown. The dropouts and the way the ends of the seat/chain stays are finished are nice (both those features and very similar to Raleigh).

It has over bracket cable guides which screams out 70s but also has brazed on gear lever bosses and brazed on top tube cable guides - on a 70s frame I probably would have expected clips for the gear levers and brake cable (maybe meaning a renovation at some point).

Are you aware of it having any kind of frame number?

It's a really nice frame. Like the colour. What are you planning on building it with?

Might be sacrilegious to a lot of you but it'll be a single speed conversion for the time being. If I manage to get a bigger budget in the future, I'll put full Campag on it.

Portacatena drop outs, over the BB cables, driled out fork crown tangs means very late 70's (just about) very early 80's...........

Neat looking frame :D
