Afan advice

I'm heading for Afan for the first time since it became a trail centre.

Any advice would be welcome. Recommended trails, things to take/not take etc.
Good local pubs, restaurants etc.

Thanks

I'm going with 3 other fellas, so no 'rock dropoffs with the missus' for me :(

However it is with the lads I rode with BITD, so should be fun. I bet it'll get all competitive like when we were teenagers again. I'll be happy with middle of the pack. Well, second.

As long as I beat Barrie. He was always fastest. Not sure how quick he'll be now.

Whites level is my fave by far and it starts right at the trail centre.

Dont know about pubs etc but the cafe at the trail centre is excellent as are the shower facilities.

Have fun!

Dont forget, what goes up. . . . must come down. Whites is my fav cos of the fast flowing singletrack in the final few miles. Great fun.

I wouldnt say the incline at the start is quite as harsh as cwm carn but it is a slog for sure
