I adjusted it up to the max and it was still out, I can't work out why there's a difference between the two sets?

Also tried riding around with the nuts off and didn't budge! I tried everything!!! Seriously, you would not believe how hard it was get off even after being drilled right through.

Had the same, stubborn crank arms... stick it over a open bin full of paper lay on it's side, and give it the beans with a big old hammer

loosens the BB some too

ha ha...I did that and more. At one point I had it blocked up on wood and was jumping up and down on it (after heating it up). Nightmare!!!

Looks like a Shimano Tourney front mech, maybe you should try a higher model as these have more reach.

Looks like you're switching from a standard to a compact low profile crank. You're going to need a much shorter bottom bracket. Your stock one is probably 122.5 to 127, and you're going to need a 108-113.

Cheers - changed the bracket for the fourth time last night and it works!!Woo -hoo. Got issues with cables and chain now but think I can solve them!!.
