I want a budget full susser and I keep seeing Univega Flyte 850 bikes for sale at cheap prices. Are they any good? can anybody recommend a similar bike as im also looking at scott octanes. Sorry if in wrong forum as I have no idea how old these bikes are...thanks in anticipation

scott octanes emerged aroung the mid to late 90,s univega ive never liked but thats probably due to them sounding too much like universal (dont ask) ive seen marin quakes go for around the 150 mark and they were great bikes also look for bikes like gary fisher joshua and trek y (the aluminuim framed ones not the carbon ones)
I'm having fun building mine and i reackon it will be Sub £150 when fully built, proving you can get some Full Susser Fun on a shoestring.

There are any number of decent options for full suspension and I really wouldn't restrict myself too much to any particular brand.
Look around the 'for sale' forum here. Most of the bikes here have been well cared for and might even come with upgrades. Many bikes you find in the local ads are stock bikes that were neglected and never serviced. You are just getting started spending when you buy many of those bikes.
