Advice on Rudi Altig frame

Evening all, I have recently acquired this Rudi Altig frame, has some rust to the frame. My intention was to strip the frame and respray, however, having researched the man and vintage bikes more in general, I understand removing the original paint is a no no. Would a frame/bike as pictured be worth anything Or shall I just carry on with my original plan of a respray? All input appreciated.

From the little I can see it looks like a low end bike. Detail focussed close up pics of lugs, ends etc. could help.

Looks more like a basic steel bike with Rudi Altigs name on it to improve sales, rather than one of his actual bikes. i.e. a "Rudi Altig Bike"

Photos to big to upload apparently. Number under frame is 82304145 if that helps. Has the 'S' shape on rear of frame. Can't see any identifying features on barends, weinman brakes, etc.
