AC has their warehouse here in California. They still have TONS of NOS stuff that never shipped in there. I saw it when they moved warehouses. I ended up getting a whole bunch of cranks, valve caps, brake boosters, easy out crank bolts, machined pulleys and old school machined hubs from an estate sale. Easiest $3000 dollars I ever made. I think they are clueless as to the value of what they have.

Hi all- I called AC in 1996 when I was building a Zaskar with all green parts.
Back then you could still order all the last of the good stuff from Ringle and other like products. My Manitou 2 crown was one of the defected ones -
so I was asking them about the crowns they used to make for that fork,
the guy put me on hold for a minute and came back with his answer:
"I got one left, and it's green". Ha ha, my luck! so I bought it for $180. I think that was the wholesale price, shops were selling them for over
$300. So I am not sure if they still have some of those sitting around- it sure
would be nice to have a blue one on my bike- but I am the one with all of the black ones. I started out with 10 and have a couple left- got them in Germany from a shop that closed up. Anyway- hope that explains things!

...Trouble is we have to bid against the rest of the world for your items.
I ended up getting a bottle cage from Jez in the end (and for $15 less than yours) but the point is if you'd put your items up here first, I would've gone higher and the money could've been yours.
You'd also save on the ebay fees, blah blah..
