It stopped it all completely for me and speeded up the lap top no end. Doubtful it's good for the site though revenue wise

Its easy to switch off the adverts without any downloads but then the site gets no revenue. Many moons ago ebay was fairly generous in its payments then they were drastically cut almost wiping out site revenue overnight.

They are annoying especially the embedded video as this drains processing power.

Click on your favourite sites or most used sites and this should filter it down to ads that you dont mind seeing now and again.

The M&S lingerie section comes to mind.

*but I'm not interested in the adoptapup, Veet, Scoll or Durex ads although the Durex ad video was a slight eyebrow raiser

About 0.2mm on the Mary Whitehouse scale.
