I answered a wanted ad and these were provisionally sold, but the buyer has failed to respond since saying they would pay later, so I may as well put them up for sale.

We have here an extremely mint set of Rock Shox judy XC forks in the gold colourway - 96 vintage I believe. All the standard steel bolts have been swapped out for titanium bolts from the Judy SL model of the same year. Internals have also been uprated with a set of NOS Rock Shox type 3 springs (red) which is medium weight. Stantions are absolutely minty with no marks at all, and have been removed, Judy buttered and re-fitted. I think I also fitted a NOS damper unit as well, but I could be wrong, but either way it is in fine fettle and works as it should with no leaks at all.

Lowers are practically unmarked, a couple of tiny imperfections and minimal paint wear to the drop outs from wheel fitting. Decals are also original, showing how little use these forks have had.

Not pictured but included are the titanium v brake bosses and rubber boots.

Steerer/crown can be either 1 inch ahead (alloy) at around the 210mm mark, or a threaded version (steel) which is around 160mm, though the pics should show the exact measurements.

I had a deal at £90 inc UK postage, which I think is good value based on the upgrades (springs will set you back £20+ and a replacement ti bolt kit £25-30, so that's around £50 before you get to the forks) and also the rarer 1 inch steerer combinations available, so putting these up for what they were provisionally sold at - £90 inc UK postage.

Happy to take more pics as needed.

A couple more pics, the second one shows the only mark to the lowers I could find. Adjusters are also unmarked.

I think the only way you'd get a better fork is to find a NOS set, and that would have elastomers, not springs, and standard steel bolts.

Very nice and a great price for what you are getting 8)

Would be in my stash at the drop of a hat if I could.

Thanks. I had plans for them myself, but I've parted company with the frame I had in mind for them, and the only other frame I could use them on is a Pace, which I don't think would go down well with the purists. I'm going to do something a bit different with the RC200 (f3) anyway, but not that different.

I'm down in Farnham every now and then, so could do them for a bit less if postage is removed from the equation.

I'm looking at these for my F3 they would go great on it. Really only the Alu steerer as I have a steel one already. Ive just forgetten how long I need for 19" frame.

Thanks for the interest. I'd guess there would be enough Steerer for a 19 inch frame as that's the size I'd be riding, but measure twice, cut once as they say.

How these forks aren't sold by now miffs me. They are perfect for someone building a vintage ride. Someone better act fast because I believe they will be sold by the end of the night. The inch steerer tube is a huge find and it being aluminum should seal the deal for any weight weenie!

That looks to read 208mm
Which is unfortunately too short for my PACE even with the Ritchey WCS headset as it has a 145mm headtube.
