Aaaarrgghhh! Low stack height headset help needed...

Anyone got any experience of a decent, 1 1/8", threaded headset, with a super low stack height, to replace the STX one which is way too tall, on my '95 Cinder Cone....??

Need it for Thursday to build the bike up on an enforced day off, so want to order something tonight if I can. Googling solutions is a bit ambiguous, to say the least... The original Impact one must have been very thin! :facepalm:

How much space have you to play with? I used a cheap Tioga one on my old Explosif before I found an original Impact. Can't recall model I'm afraid.

The impact seems to be around 40 mm (rough measurement).

Have to admit, I haven't actually measured, but reading through it would seem the STX is 40mm-ish and the original Impacts were something like 33mm-ish.

Thanks for the link, think that one will be too tall, but have now found a cheap Ritchey Logic, seems to be 33mm, if you believe their spiel. It is only the desperate need to keep the original TB P2's that has sent me this way, I would really much rather go ahead, but it just won't suit the build... :facepalm:
