those of us with 90's konas will know what fun running V's on the back can be - the neatest option is of course, to drill out the original canti cable router to take housing, though this can present spacing issues on sizes of 18inches and below. today while fiddling, i found a useful trick

i had an offcut of housing from a very small child's bike i found in the bottom of a bike box. it's got a slightly smaller OD than regular housing (takes a cable no problems though) and is more flexible - ideal for those slightly awkward routing moments

I did that bodge for a while but I eventually got annoyed with the extra drag it created.

You need the alloy clamp, the plastic won't work. I drilled my clamp out, tapped it, then screwed in a rear mech adjuster to hold the cable. The noodle needs be a really tight radius for it to work. I may have a picture somewhere.

The I got this done...

i reckon a lower noodle could make this much more effective - anyone know where to get one?
