babelfish thrown a wobbly ?

No, he speaks better english than i do. He is just mad as a hatter!

any background on this fellow. What's the story???

Gawd knows. He sells a few old motors on eBay as well as expensive pianos. Looks like he buys, smokes around in them, has sex with them and then sells on. I spoke to him last year about that Lancia but he is just weird. Last time round I looked at his feedback and most peole were happy enough with him. A real eccentric by the looks of things.

In the market for some classic wheels then JV?? I'd steer away from cheap Mercs. Cost a fortune to keep going and rust like mad. Buy the best or walk away. that particular car looks...erm....marmite. :?

now I have to counter that argument about expensive to run

It all depends on what you buy.

I used to run w126 as daily drivers and they were way cheaper for parts than a modern diesel Mondeo or my Passat.

fuel - early 500SEC was born out a fuel crisis and can return almost 30mpg with the older taller geared box

Now back to the hatstand.
