a roll a day.

I live on my own and I bought a pack of 18 or something back in march or april, that way I though I wouldn't have to buy any more for ages. I just had a look to see how many I'd used and it's 7. So my plan is working as I reckon it will have been over a year before I need to buy any more. I go through mountains of kitchen role though when cleaning/working on my bikes  , as I'm sure do most of you!!!

Same here. I buy the jumbo pack and it lasts forever. That said, life's too short to settle for cheap booze, coffee, or toilet paper, so I always buy the good stuff.

Look in the automotive store for shop grade paper towels for your maintenance needs and save the regular towels for juice spills. They are more expensive, but the cost is offset by them being more robust, and you use fewer of them per job.
