A random question involving cycle parking racks

A quick Q guys and girls, does anyone know of a source of second hand cycle racks? The big bolt down type you find in town centres and train stations as I want to lay my grubby mitts on nine of the individual bolt to the ground types second hand (as new there way too much for me) I want to get them powder coated in different bright colours! For outside my workshop as you don't see colourful bike racks round my way always stainless or black :roll:

Anyway if anyone knows we're I can get second hand ones from that would be so cool

You would need to phone round various councils, I imagine.

Saying that, I would guess such things are simply dumped when they are damaged.

Have you tried asking a local blacksmith if they'd make them? Sometimes works out much cheaper.

I've tried the local council they don't have any and tried a few loca blacksmiths to no joy around £90-£200 each. Was hoping someone knows of a pile sat some where going cheap lol

How about scaff poles, grinder, face mask (zing galv!), mitres, weld up some shapes.

I am considering it stew as have a scaffolding place at the back of my house but it's a lot of work and time. I can't belive I can't find any second hand ones online at all :shock: someone's gotta know I can find some

Ask your local gypo on his way past, he may have some from a demolished school or something, failing that he'll have some tomorrow......

I didn't think of that I have the scarp dealers on it locally they know what I'm after, and all have said they turn up from time to time, but 6 months on I've had no joy. I would buy new but £90 each plus vat and shipping then another £50 each for zinc coat and powder coat in different colours they just work out to expensive

I did look at those Joe just not my cup of tea for outside my workshop as plant always die and need looking after I'm after a rainbow of coloured Oxford style stands
