A quick preview of what's to come....1991 GT Zaskar project.

And to round this project off I have added some finishing touches like chromed dust caps for the cranks, a couple of cable ties to keep the shark fin secured to the frame and bottle cage bolts.
Most of the dust caps I found are usually badly scratched and the little holes tend to get damaged due to the way the screw in as it takes a bit of force, even with the right tool.
So the ones I got today were the least damaged and they look fine.

As I have been out on this lovely bike today I have decided that I will only ride this Zaskar occasionally and only very local.
Unfortunately my upper back gets very tight and painful if I ride it for a longer period, which is frustrating as I really love the way my old GT's ride.
However, I still have my modern Zaskar to ride which is easier on my back. ;)

I have really enjoyed building this early 90's Zaskar, it was a fairly straight forward build and other than the challenges faced when it came to spray painting the forks I think I have done this frame and forks justice by building up with period correct parts. I certainly love looking at this bike because it just looks great!

I hope you have enjoyed following this build as much I have enjoyed building and sharing it's progress.
There are no further plans for any other builds for the for foreseeable future as I am really content with what I have, which can be seen in my signature.
I have spent a fair bit of money on my bikes in the last three years and will be nice to focus on other things as bikes are not my only interest.

Thank you all who have contributed to this build and thread, very much appreciated indeed!
