A quick preview of what's to come....1991 GT Zaskar project.

As I have just received the wheels from our fellow RetroBike member @jimmy-s3 I thought I'd put the tyres on that I bought some time ago and fit them to my 1991 GT Zaskar frame.
So creating a bit of a rolling chassis to spur myself on to get started with this project. (read: giving myself a kick up the backside, to be frank)

As I have been buying parts here and there, some from other members here, including @raidan73 and @d8mok, @jimmy-s3 and eBay I am pretty sure I have everything I need to build this Zaskar, once I have done the polishing the frame and repainting/spraying the forks! 😁

Just a quick update...
I am hoping that this project will be started for real next month as these last few weeks have been difficult.
My youngest daughter (27yr old) has been feeling rather poorly and is having trouble with anaemia so I am trying to be as supportive to her to make sure she makes a good recovery.
But I also have to make sure that I look after myself too.
Been having quite a bit of difficulty staying asleep due to the hot weather we've had during the last 4 months or so.
So I find it really difficult to focus on other things besides what take priority like working part time and looking after my daughter (and our cats).

As soon as my daughter is in much better shape (she currently in hospital (NGH in Sheffield) I should be able to focus and make a proper start on my 1991 Zaskar project.
There's no doubt that I will be sharing the progress with you all when the time is right.

;)Thanks for your patience in advance!

I have just received the paint stripper (Peel Tec on @PhillB's recommendation, thank you) earlier this week and have also placed an order for some paint and other stuff from Graff-City...
Things are moving in the right direction.;)
I am taking my time with this project as I am new to spray painting and want to learn to do a good job on the GT 2x4 forks and possibly the smaller of the two stems I have for this Zaskar.
Yes, I am lucky to have two original GT Flip Flop stems for my Zaskar, one 120mm with lower rise and a 135mm higher rise stem, have yet to find out which one I will end up using....
