A nice bit of sculpture.....

Dirt Disciple
This was hanging in a widow's basement local to me for a few decades, tires were dry-rotted etc. She was very happy to see I got it back on the road recently. From 1989, one of the first carbon road bikes, made in the USA, sporting some of the first popular carbon wheels, also made in the USA. A Dura-Ace drivetrain and the Dia-Compe Superbe brakes, indexed 7-speed.

Kestrel fall 25.webp

A piece of cycling history for sure. I would love one in my collection. :)

Interesting forward set seatpost, I know these were quite popular in the triathlon scene so maybe a tri style positioning mod.

Yes, that is what they made those seatposts for. I like riding with it, but it is a little short for me. A full length post will not fit down into this frame, so it is short. I will have to get another one and cut it to a longer length than this one so the bike fits me better.
