Thought i'd post this because it seemed very much in the spirit of RB (and it's just another chance for me and MrBallBags to gloat  )

My nephew Joe (age 9) and his dad got some tickets to the millenium Stadium for the Italy match.

Clearly fate.....as my sister saw them advertised on her work's noticeboard the friday before!!!!

Anyhow my nephew's a big James Hook fan (as in he's THE man) and of course JH got the chance to play in the 2nd half...

After the match his dad takes him to see if they can find the players, when sure enough JH comes out and stops to talk to them :D

Joe's made up by all this when Mr Hook picks up his boots and says would you like these!!!

What a smashing chap 8)

Brilliant story!!

Incidentally, does your sister work for the NHS? There were a few Wales vs Italy tickets for sale on there last week...

I'm off to the game this weekend (see my other thread) - I'm hoping to go to the bar afterwards where the players usually go (having one of the official WRU photographers as an old landlord has it's benefits ;) ).. Want me to see if I can get something signed for your nephew? I'm sure I could get a programme signed, although it won't quite top Hooky's boots ;)

...

You're lucky, if it had been an England game, and James Haskell, he'd have probably wanted his boots cleaned!!!

JH is a nice chap, but that is a very generous thing to do. Your nephew will remember that for a long time to come.

Mr B

dipslay case is a great idea but it'd have to have real grass

i'm sure he'd love a programme if anything comes that'd be grand - thank you.

Tickets from education something at The Assembly not NHS!

One those truly memorable things in a young lads life as you say 9and i hope he's not going to clean 'em!)
And 8)
