I've sent him a message, see what he says.

Looking at the pic with it in black paint, you can see Tequesta on there!! I'm sooooo dumb . . .

It's not that bad a frame I suppose, and I like GT's with their one more triangle than is necessary design.. but I already have an average GT and wanted a step up.

Can't afford a Zaskar yet so this was supposed to step in and offer a nice alternative.

You sure about this? Going by the tube sizes and welds (and headtube gusset), that's an aluminium frame. Get a magnet out and check

It's not an aftermarket sticker... no raised edges...

It's a sticker that's stuck on quite well Probably a genuine GT frame decal, they're pretty thin. I wouldn't expect any raised edges.
