A fool and his money. . . blinkered vision content

It could possibly be exactly what it's claimed to be. I'm sure someone could tell you based on the frame number.

It's definitely alu and it was really cheap.
So I would just build it and have fun.

he says in the listing "Disguised as a GT Tequesta Steel Frame"

so he's a paranoid android. its definately aluminium. he's re stickered it as a tequesta then painted the anti theft paint on.

you have yourself a respectable alloy frame with different decals.

My days just getting worse!!

Re-read the ad 3 TIMES.. and still didn't see the Tequesta bit

ffs...

Up for auction is a classic GT Avalanche Frame 17" (frame only). In Very Good Condition. Used only a handleful of times, hardly any damage to the frame. Not even any cable rub, or chain gouges, or stone chipping. Just one or two slight abrasions by the rear chainstays from storage. Disguised as a GT Tequesta Steel Frame with grey/black "anti-theft" custom finish. lol! But Seriously though, don't be deterred by the appearance of this item. It was designed to look cr@p, heavy and worthless. This frame is incredibly light, stiff, and rides beautifully. V brakes only. The finish was applied to make the frame less attractive to thieves. The original paint and decals is still underneath (see picture below), should you wish to remove the anti-theft paint job. Weight approx: 1.89 kgs

I got there in the end..

Feeling even more stoopid now

Anyone nail the frame ID down from the serial no?

Think it's going to be a bit small for me (6' tall, 32" inside leg) but . . . .
