Due to a last minute change on travel plans I arrived at the annual family gathering sans bike. So instead of being out on 2 wheels in this glorious weather, I am forced to sit and admire it from the warmth of my Grandparents home just outside of Barnstaple in North Devon.
Christmas morning saw the River Taw, which at this point is tidal, looking like a glacial flow.
Sadly yesterday, my sisters fiance received some bad news and had to make a dash off to Heathrow to make it to Detroit in time for a funeral. I went with him in the car to Tiverton in order to get him on a National express coach as the trains are not running. On the way we had the most spectacular sunrise over Exmoor.
The -11 temperature really brought out the best sunrise!
