Decided to give the Ibis a run out today around Borrowdale, north of Kendal ...turned into a bit of an epic due to flooded rivers, strong winds and some unrideable trails. 4000ft of climbing, lwith a fair bit of carrying, good jobs she's light

Spotted a nice Viking caravan too for a bit of Edwards interest...no-one was home.

Weird!! many dead moles hanging on the fence

There's a bimble, and there's a 4000ft of climbing bimble.

Doubt if my legs would have made it but I still wish I'd been there.

Great caravan :D

Nice photos Rich. There's some very good riding around there and the scenery is fantastic. Very quiet area too.

Agreed, there are some great trails there, and the odd Royston Vasey landscapes used to make riding there even more fun.

Moles hung on fence is a standard display of how good the local mole killer is.

Only really happens up north these days, partially because Southerners use 'Ratedtradesman.com' rather than 'dead, dangly mole fence' and partly because housewives in Guildford get a bit funny about dead moles dangling from the fence of their townhouse!

Really quiet. Didn't see anyone all day. Not sure I'd recommend it for a Retrobike NW ride though. Breasthigh Road is a bitch both ways. Lots of carrying with football size boulders.
