Don't know why I'm moaning on an internet forum but I guess I need an outlet.

TBH today's been sh*te. Managed to drop my phone down the toilet and think I've lost lots of valuable information including important work stuff and the tel number of the lady that smacked my car the other week (and who was happy to pay up).
Following this I took a trip to the supermarket after collecting a friend from work where I promptly hit one of those b*stard little bollards that are lower then your eye line while reversing out of the parking space. Had I been able to use my mobile I would have collected the food earlier from a different shop having taken my friends order by phone. The damage looks bad enough to require an insurance claim and I'll have to fork out the £400+ excess. I don't have £400+ spare so I might have to sell some retro content to cover it.

Bugg*r it, I'm going to bed. :(

I feel your pain :(

I had a day like that yesterday. Lost my phone on the way to work (fortunately insured but lots of numbers, music, apps etc lost) and then my left pedal fell apart on the way home. Then I got rained on....

Rubbish

I'm sometimes glad i'm old skool and a bit of a technophobe, still write stuff down on bits of paper, have a mobile phone (eventually got one ten years after everyone else) but see it as a handy thing not an absolute necessity, would'nt be a total disaster if i lost it.

Bad luck with the bollard :(

lifes a bitch then you die :(

What ways have you tried drying your phone out?? I was told don't dry it out to fast other wise you 'cook' the phone. If dryed slowly you can save them.

Yes, they can be saved.

My daughter's phone found its way into the bath with thanks to Alfie....well, what do you expect leaving it within his reach at bath time!

Put it on top of a towel that was on top of a warm radiator, and after an hour or so all was well again.

Removing the battery and putting the phone in a sealed jar of rice can some times dry them out enough for at least a reboot.
