Greetings! Ive been reading up on my GT and have learned quite a lot from this website and forum.
Im here to share pics of my GT psyclone and perhaps talk a bit of shop and plan for future mods on my current setup. Its a 99 Psyclone made of reynolds 853. I believe it differs from its earlier type as it is a tig weld. Im told it was make towards the end of the product run. Ive got the serial numbers if anyone is interested.
I affectionately refer to her as my 'rat bike' since I typically throw on whatever somewhat fecent components I can afford without paying much mind to style.
My current setup includes
Shimano Deore XT rear derailer
Shimano XT front derailer
SURLY big dummy fork
Avid single digit 3R brakes (ancient I know)
Unknown crankset & bottom bracket.
Back wheel is some kind of cheapo mavic w/ shimano paralax hub.
Front wheel is WTB speed masters 23 with deore xt hubs
Front tire is 2.5 inch WTB prowler mx
Back tire is a cheap CST 2.1
Stem & handlebars Titec Hell-bent set
