I won it - it was in a pretty bad state.

Tftuned fixed the SIDs a treat, I de-stickered it back to bare yellow (left 853 sticker on naturally) and built it up with an assortment of bits n bobs (27 speed LX, Avid v-brakes, pair Mavic wheels, V8s)

So it's not had a full authentic restore - sadly don't have the funds for that - but it's a great hardtail for whizzing round the local trails (the ones where I'm over-biked on my full suss)!

ok, so it's looking a bit nicer now, silver seatpost made a big difference, black wheels I can handle as I'm short on funds! I wanted to use the old 6 degree Ritchey stem but it was killing me after a few miles, so I got this one off an old Hardrock. Must get onto those SID transfers but they've destroyed my fingernails

I'm not too bothered either about 27 speed modern-ish LX / Truvativ drivetrain either, but it's working well, as are the Avids that I got new off the 'Bay for £23 incl. P&P
