97 Ku build & now a 98 Ku

On my '97 all the stay ends are closed up. An example of Altitude's questionable "quality control" maybe?

Yeh I think so too.

This frame has a bit of story though as it was sent out to a guy to use whilst he waited for a warranty replacement. Detailed on here.

So maybe it was a factory second that Kona just used as a loaner. That somehow survived

Cabled up the 97. Just needs a saddle now and it’s done.

This may end up with M950 brakes , levers and shifters at some point but for now ….

I’ve weighed both Ku’s and both are surprisingly quite light to say I wasn’t chasing a weight weenie build.

97 is 9.3kg but needs a saddle / pedals
98 is 9.7kg but needs pedals.

I also have a Superfly fork which I’ve tried on the 98 as I’d really like to make use of it but don’t currently have a home for it.

Not sure the colours match so well though. Black SID is super safe compared.
