1998 model year (if memory serves both frames are stamped with 1997 serial number) Orange Clockwork frames - 2 available, one must go…

I’ve been hanging on to both of these for a while, and have enjoyed riding both but with other nice stuff in the stable I don’t need two, they're currently both half - complete and I can't decide which to build up and in what spec... so I'll keep which ever doesn't sell and build it up with whatever bits remain. There's more info on my ownership and previous owners on here in my signature at the bottom of this post.

These are both riders rather than show-queens, with dings and other cosmetic damage but both are solid, rust-free, and great to ride. All threads etc. are good.

Those in the know know that the 98 is a brilliant steel frame, as light and agile as any Clockwork but unlike earlier bikes has the benefit of 1 1/8” head tube (for ahead) and set up for v-brakes rather than cantis - very practical and build up as whatever you want. 135mm back end.

The blue one is in original paint with very worn decals. It has plenty of scratches, one or two small dings and some damage/ bending to one of the seat stays which extends slightly to one of the dropouts - it doesn’t affect overall alignment but it does make the rear wheel slightly fiddly to fit. Still rides brilliantly and I’m fond of the patina. I’m thinking £50 plus post.

Also I have a rare set of 1 1/8" threadless Orange F7 forks (at least that's what I think they are - no decals). I'm going to value these at £75 as they're really hard to find and I'm in two minds about selling (on which note I reserve the right to change my mind). Paint is not brilliant on these but otherwise they're good. Very stiff and pretty light.

Re the forks I'm not going to split until frames have sold - happy to do a deal on forks + frame, and may be persuaded to include headset, seatpost and clamp if they're helpful, depending on the deal.

The grey one was professionally refinished (powdercoated) in the ownership of another retrobiker with a nice set of 92 decals and is much tidier overall. Again has one or two dings and some light scratches, nothing too horrendous and the worst damage is where I over-tightened the front mech. With a polish it would look very smart. I'm going to say £70 + postage.

As photographed I also have a really nice pair of Pace RC36s which have hardly been ridden since Tim (@justbackdated) serviced them and fitted new decals. These have gotta be worth £120 - they owe me much more. Lovely forks, and come with the original instruction manual.
