Is that a hole I spy in the fork crown?
If it is, you could try one of these:

that could work as long as the brake straddle cable pull is in line with the rocker. i tried once with a similar built-in marzocchi rocker on XCR fork with a set of Diacompe 987 and it was way off.

Downside of using v-brakes is that I'm trying to use an 8 speed XT brake / shifter combo unit so to put v-brakes on with that set of controlls will require an adaptor (I do have some NOS diacompe v-brakes in the parts bin). If I win my ebay auction I will have a set of XT v-brake levers coming shortly, but then I need to sort out the shifting. I have some 9 speed rapid fire in the parts bin, but then I will have to buy a new rear block and chain. Other downside is that I don't get to use those beautiful LX cantis.
Yes, that it a hole in the arch. I have another style of cable stop I experimented with last night, but it won't work - its set up for rigid forks. How does that Tektro bel crank unit work? It hurts my head thinking about it. Looking at the number of shims they have on it I think I could make it liine up properly.
Of course the other option is to slap a rigid fork on the bike and really ride old school.

That being said, my brake arch is flat whereas yours had that funny knob projecting outwards so that style tektro may work - I may need to take the bike into the LBS and eyeball one on the bike first. I think marzocchi made an adaptor for a few years for these forks, but I suspect their as rare as hens teeth around here now.

And on top of that I think I've got an cable stop adaptor that will sort out my front brake issue. Hopefully I'll get some time in the garage tonight to try it out.
Ok, I managed to fit it to the bike (the bolt is waaaaaay too long, so I need to replace it) and I found a segment of old housing that was around the right length and fit it together.
IT WORKS! And it only cost me $5! Here is a shot from the front. The alignment from the side is just about spot on! Much better than the steerer mounted hanger I was using before. Its not particularly attractive. I may paint the cable stop black or try to colour match it to the fork.
