The Hei Hei titanium has always been one of my dream bikes and have been looking for an 18 inch frame to come up for ages. Whenever they rarely have, I’ve never had the money to put forward. Despite my current Roberts DB build and Serotta Colorado build, a few of these frames came up recently so I decided to take the opportunity and finally buy one. Thanks to @mk one I picked up his 1996, 18 inch frame last weekend. Thanks again Mark.
I’ve been giving it a clean up this evening (not much to do) and having a parts test fit. Planning on gen 1 mavic Crossmax wheels, pace rc31 carbon forks, m95x XTR components, race race turbine cranks and a few other nice bits. Not 100% period correct but most of the parts will be for 1996/97.
Gil is sending me some 97 decals as I prefer these over the 96 versions and personally I like a bit of colour. I’d like the decals to stand out but the frame and rest of the components to be subtle.
Hopefully this will be interesting to you guys and any words of encouragement or motivation would be warmly appreciated, Jimmy
