so i bought these forks, not realising that at the time they had a dodgy seal, they were for my fat chance buckshaver, as i was having that resprayed i got the forks done to match and rebuilt them with new bushes and seals, but i have since found that they are too soft for me even though i have now fitted the firm springs, apparently i need the extra firm ones but i have looked and can't find any.

so these cost me:-

£60 to buy
£75 to respray
£17 for the seals
£20 for the bushes
£21 for the springs

so that's £183 altogether

so i want £110 posted for them which i think is fair.

this will also include the standard medium springs aswel.

the stanctions are perfect and everything works. they have the replaceable crown and the steerer is 1 1/8 by 185mm.

the paint is pearl white from Argos cycles

the travel is quoted as 75mm but i think it's a little shorter than that. they have preload and rebound damping adjustments.

any questions please ask but i am off to work in a moment and won't be back until 6am tomorrow :(

dib here first and follow up with a PM.

cheers

here's the pics!

:D

Way steep for unoriginal Z2s...

did i say they were original? that'll be a no then, they were painted for a specific project.

did i ask for your opinion on MY price? that will also be a NO then.

are you actually interested? probably not, so why kick the tyres of a car you have no intention of buying?

not that i have to explain my price to you but i listed why they were priced at £110, which i think is justified. these forks generally go for around £70 in used but working order, but would eventually need money spending on them. i have already spent that money so it is reflected in the sale price.

seals/bushes/oil and time have been spent to make this fork look and work properly, the brand new paint is a bonus to whoever may buy them.

if they don't sell i will just hang them up and continue looking for the correct springs that i need.

feel happy now? have i explained myself enough for you

Hello
Seems fine to me.
As a matter of interest, what is/was the length of the fork from the drop outs to the top of the crown and what length did you want?

Regards Ian
