I've been abusing this for some time now as my commuter bike which was put together with bargain bucket bits n' pieces. I'm feeling guilty as hell now 'cause lots of people ask me about it and basically it looks like turd!

Well no more... it's getting a make over starting with the seatpost with the tin can shims in it that creak like hell!

What diameter am i looking at here.... 26.2.. 26.6?

Cheers Paul

It's less than a 27.0 as that was what i was going to use originally hence the improvised skinny post and tuna can shims?

If it won't take a 27.0, it must be a fair bit bit older than 1995 - post a picture or tell us what colour it is (and decals).

Cheers for the replys, i stick an ad in the wanted section and see what it throws up, hopefully the guy selling the xt post will see it if it's still going?

The frame is like a teal metallic with gold Kona and Cinder Cone decals and it also has a gold and orange Kona 'swirl' headtube decal and Race Light on the top tube. Gold with orange/black decals on Project 2's too.

That's a 95 bike and I thought they took a 27.0 post, as Bikepedia states, but if Skeelsie has a 26.6 in his 95 Fire Mountain (which Bikepedia also says took a 27.0) then he knows better than me. I have a 27.0 in my 95 Kilauea, also my 94 Explosif, but that is a different seat tube.
