Almost all of them had the stiffer fluted down tube, so if yours doesn't it is quite rare. KikideParis also has one and his has a Tange Ultimate Superlight sticker, in contrast to the standard version which has an Ultimate Ultrastrong sticker. He reports that the overall weight is a bit less, which implies that they didn't compensate anywhere else in the spec for the lighter dt. Whether being lighter but less stiff makes it a better or worse frame depends on personal taste, but it would be interesting to compare them. I guess the lighter version may be better suited to running a P2, but I have an 80mm SID on mine, so I guess I may be better off with the standard frame, even though I don't weigh much.eyerideit":3t5fti92 said:No it's not fluted its got a butted/tapered seat tube. I've only seen one fluted DT and that was in a photo.

Try enlarging that image its got the fluted down tube like mines which is a '94'. BTW I love that colour of green I wouldn't mind know the RAL number for it for when I eventually have to repaint my frame.
