94 Dynatech Diablo rebuild as Single Speed

Mahoney - I agree that is a Dynatech Diabolo bonded frame, its easy to tell what is Titanium as the tubes are not magnetic
doctorstewie - alas the only fitness I have is the "residual fiteness" from my youth and enough bl**dy mindedness to not push my bike up a hill

The Geax tubes are 140gm (if I recall correctly) the only other tubes I typically use are Michelin (got loads of them when my folks sold up their bike shop) and they are 205gm

The White Industries chainset is a Sugino one and was added to the Diabolo when I swapped out the STX SE transmission and added V brakes c1996 - everything went over to XT but I wanted a 20T granny ring for the really steep stuff and - if I recall correctly - the newly released 4 arm XT cranks didnt have a 20T available (I like really high cadence riding)

Re:

Sweet! Honestly for the last little while I was left thinking I had a rebadged M Trax. Nothing wrong with that, but I bought a Dyna Tech and want a Dyna Tech!

OK... Sorry to hijack this build (i do love it btw!) can either of you help me find what seat post bolt I need for my frame? I don't have the original and need to identify what my frame needs please. Also.. Am I right that it'll take a 27.2mm seat post?. Cheers!

My understanding is the M Trax frames had the seat bolt on the other side - ie forward of the post not behind - but far more expert people on here than I

As I have learnt here on retrobike, the seatpost should be a 27.2 - mine was running a 27.0 XLite that slipped a lot - when I got a cheap 27.2 (3D Pro from Planet X for £15) it was actually a bit snug. Since I was unable to find a 27.2 reamer at any local bike shop to clean inside the frame tube I ran some wet and dry over the seatpost . . .

As far as I know the seat bolt is a standard metric allen key bolt, M5 maybe?
