Hi mate
Excellent find!
From memory I think its a 93 model but will check the books once I get in. The fork is just a Specialized FS fork based on the mag21. All parts are interchangable.

Jamie

The Specialized FS forks are almost indentical to the Mag21, except for the the damping, if my memory is correct? I think Specialized modified the damping by slightly increasing the size of the holes that the oil flowed through, which made them re-bound a little quicker than the Mag21's with a similar weight oil in them. Can anyone validate this?

Nice find, I never see anything like this when ever I go to the tip.

with those dropouts? more likely what jax13 said, or a tensioner SS! if there's gears, thumbies.

i didn't want to mention SS as i fear i'm beginning to sound like a stuck record after my muirwoods project!! instead of a 1x9, how about a 3x1!!!

Hey Earl, I've just been looking at the story of your '92 Stumpy. That bike's great, I wouldn't sell if I were you. My brother in law has the same model down under & thought it might be '91. His is unrestored, but still great to ride. Knowing it's '92 makes sense that mine's '93, the catalogues I looked up only show silver, so maybe that colour was only available to certain markets?
