I have lurked about here, and pulled quite a bit of good info here. I finally have something worth adding to your community
I was working in a bike shop when this bike came out. I wanted one, but even with my discount, it was hovering somewhere near a $1000.... Last week, I went to a yard sale, and bought this for $100!!!
He said that he got it to ride with his son, but couldn't keep up, so he quit and hung it up in the garage... He said it had one broken spoke, and that he never got it to shift right....
According to what I can see, everything was original, down to the tires... I changed the tires and the seat, and had to add some pedals... It is a 22" frame....
I found out why he never got it to shift right....
Take a look at the cluster, and see if you can figure it out....
Apparently they did this at the factory/LBS........
I am getting rid of the front forks, since they have been recalled due to breakage, and replacing them with a set of Manitou "3" forks(even have the matching stem)... Other than that, I plan to keep it mostly stock.... (I am also bidding on a set of even cooler forks owned by another member of this forum, but I don't want to count my chickens yet...)
These lousy pictures don't do justice to how absolutely clean this bike is... You can get an idea by looking at the cluster... Aside from a few small nicks in the paint, it is perfect.... I am one happy camper.....
Here is a ling to the original specs... http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/Bike ... &Type=bike
