90s Saracen help needed!

Hi, your mystery Saracen reminds me on mine, shown here.

Also originally when i've bought it a blue, rather low spec Saracen unclear yesr and model.
IIt's seems to be a different blue than yours, although the color appears on ppicturesa bit different as in real and ddepend also on sun light condition.
As mine has the segmented Saracen fork, as the 94 Tufftrax I would guess than yours has to be a different model, or limited edition combineing pieces from their shelves.

In all cases this is a great base for your first Retrobike build!

Love the look of your Saracen! There defo must've been a period where parts where swapped out/added in at the end of a year to make up bikes. I think it makes them more interesting! Great to read about your journey building it all up. I'm sure some day the apprentice from the Saracen factory in the 90's will pop up and tell stories of randomly pulling bike parts together

Happy Monday. It’s been a long winter and I’ve spent most of it trying to match colours, find parts and generally procrastinate.

🛞Yesterday my wheels arrived from Poland! Big shout to mscyclingtechniques2 for delivering the goods and some extra bits. Highly recommend!

I’m nearing the beginning of the end (as in contemplating starting my build) but have some pressing questions that so far the internet and chat gpt have failed to answer 🤣

Namely what colour is the Shimano STX SE chromica, could I paint some of the bike parts myself and more to the point would it even work on the handlebars and stems 😵‍💫

I’ll attach some pics. All advice welcome! 🙌🏽

Chromica is a plated finish - paint isn't going to match it.
You might be able to get parts plated similar, but it's going to be costly.
