Both built at cost for friends who don’t have the resources to buy into ‘gravel bikes’ or whatever, but who have a ton of enthusiasm for riding long distances off road.

Very cathartic and an antidote to a lot of bike industry rubbish.

Old bikes still being ridden off road, so what’s not to like?!

They look pretty good to me! Many dirt drop bikes with a lot more money thrown at them look way worse than these two!

This is what these old bikes should be all about, repurposed and ridden off road, 30 odd years after they rolled out of the shop they are carrying men and camping kit up mountains, if bikes have souls these two muddies souls are singing.

had to look twice for getting that these are 2 different Bikes
At first to believe you only wanted to change the rear brake position and repaint for that
TowelRacked and going for a double up front as beeing part of the rationalism along...

But instead!: 2 great Bikes - lovely & good tire choice hehe..

The double is a fair jump at 42/26, not the smoothest but means only two positions on a friction shift and a good bail out granny ring.

The more I look at the Road Runner the better it looks, it looks like such a fun bike to ride
