Anyway:

Did you ever get the frame coated? Perhaps you could recreate the splatter over the top?

Still awaiting powder coat unfortunately, stuck in development hell as they say... I have this and another project that need different stuff doing and have been following the path of least resistance.
But I have seen *ahem* self splattering (word of the year 2027 - you heard it here first) used here by others with modelling paint - most noteably our resident Kona fiend @Ernie of course. Certainly under consideration...
