So now that you got them back can't you tell the police about the thieves?

Was thinking the same....good news but why wasn't the police involved.

Indeed, those b***rds shouldn't get away with even a little bit of your money.
Really nice you got most bikes back anyhow :)

That is great news! But it breaks my heart that they cut an Ultimate frame... You must have some crazy feelings about that too. You have six of your babies back, but you know one of them got "killed" by some heartless @#%$%&. (fill in what you think is appropriate)

Difficult one - to steal 7 bikes will take a team, a fairly commited one at that. One team member may have been met so they know what you look like and where you live - going to an already uninterested police force might aggravate a situation that has been "resolved".

If I lived on my own I probably would go to the police, if I had family I might leave it as is.

But only Uli can decide as only he met the guy and knows what he is dealing with.

Uli I'm glad you got most of them back, an unusually good result.

Serious pity of the Ultimate, but I would say this is still very good to hear.

Seems it is better to not use locks. The thieves might cut the toptube

Do you think the guy telling he got bikes offered is directly related to the thieves?

Too bad we are not in the same country, I would have helped u track down the thiefs and put a couple of bullets in their kneecaps.

it's bad, but don't think we can condone that even in jest...

i'm sure he meant 'bullet valve caps'.....

just read this story. frustrating but also glad he got most of them back. Savage is one word to describe the brutality of cutting one bike up to free another. but also marks the desperation of the thieves too. clearly very desperate people! (for whom i have no sympathy for). As for the police....well, i can't speak for them. but i can have my own opinion. and i wouldn't hold much hope for any effort on their behalf.
