Are 7 speed hyperglide easy to come by then stevew can have the uniglide?

Shaun

Yes NOS 7 speed available cheap on the bay. Plus the HG chains are cheaper too. I paid £80 for a 6 speed DA uniglide chain.

The Hyperglide chain for 6/7/8 speed works perfectly well with Uniglide. HG50 is the product line and should be about £6-£7.

Re:

If you want closer ratio or the supply of 7 speed cassettes runs out, it is possible to get an 8 speed and use the spacers from the 7 speed with the sprockets from the 8 speed! Just a case of unscrewing the screws/or grinding the heads off the rivets - the screws/rivets don't do anything except make it easier to handle.
