Anyone else think that the Bristol bus driver who deliberately swerved his bus into a cyclist received a ridiculously light sentence?
He pleaded guilty to GBH and dangerous driving and got 17 months! Apparently he will have serve half his sentence before being considered for release!
It seems to me that this sends the message to all drivers that you may run someone over deliberately and receive a lighter sentence than if you used a gun or a knife to attack your victim.
This is not a run of the mill "Sorry, I didn't see you there mate." incident with a stupid driver.
