70's Van-Femel / Bernard Carre

Hi,

Saw this locally and couldn't resist the colour / size / era combination - collected yesterday.

1976 Van-Femel - Bernard Carre built - with full Shimano 1st gen 600 group.

This has been tucked away in a basement for 40 years and is totally original in everyway - under the grime it is in fantastic condition.


There is some lovely detail, including hand painted Van-Femel decal - I'll be stripping and cleaning sometime soon - and this is going to be my Anjou velo ride.
Will post the progress.

Cold wet Sunday = quality bike time!

Passed a leisurely afternoon cleaning / stripping this down - its not exactly hard graft as it's in great overall condition - can hardly tell the before / after photos.

In the pedals photo the cleaned one is at the bottom!
