531 Carlton Frame

Took the pictures but forgot to take the measurements :roll: I'll take some for anyone that's interested reckon it's about a 56cm'ish.

Clearly a very old frame with it's oil points. 5 speed specific. Frame is a little tatty but I think I'd leave the paint and appreciate the patina, reckon it'll look alright built.

The biggest disappointment is the dent in the top tube, not a majorly serious dent but enough to be noticed.

Takes 27" wheels, headset needs attention, 531 main frame.

Looking for £80 posted.

Just an observation. The 531 sticker has a Ti logo which started in the late 70's and the style of Carlton sticker also started in the late 70's so has been refurbished at that time, I guess in a flam finish of the ere. Silver with a semi transparent laquer.

Multiple braze ons, headset style, the little cable wheel on the BB points to a much earlier frame and likely very classy..... is there a frame number? Maybe a late 40's sports model? £80 could be a bargain then
