Back in my youth a friend got his hands on similar 4 rider bike and entered us in a local 85km charity ride. It was build with motorbike wheels, drum brakes, heavy as f..., but boy, when we pushed them pedals, we were flying past some strong riders. Going downhill was quite scary to be honest, the speeds we went. Fun though and would do it again

I’ve ridden a tandems few times, most scary being down a hill off-road on one with drum brakes. Got a book somewhere with a photo of one of my uncles riding in a team on a quint. He said that was pretty hairy.
