Seat post clamp sizes...............arrrrrgggggh.
My new frame I thought was going to be a 28.6 like the similar one I have. Indeed, most of it is (i.e it takes 28.6 FD) but there is a bulged area at the top end where the seat post clamp needs to go.
I've measured this thinking "Oh it'll be 31.8mm but I'll just check" but no. On my digital calipers it is saying 30.74mm so let's just say 30.8mm.
Do seat post clamps of that size exist? I have found a kalloy one that is suitably slim and neat looking that says it is but others that list as being "for 30.8mm seat posts". As such I'm puzzled. I suppose I could get a 31.8mm one and shim the inside out but that's a botch I'd rather avoid.
Ideally I want one that looks like this one; certainly polished alloy and slim.
